Option B
What these numbers mean
Upfront cost is the purchase price you need to fund. Estimated ownership cost is price plus annual running costs × years, minus estimated resale value (with a minimum of zero). It is divided by ownership months or days using 365.2425 days per year.
Cost per use divides total ownership cost by your estimated total uses across that entire duration. Zero or blank uses means no estimate. Time owned does not measure actual use.
These are estimates, not proof that one purchase is better. Different ownership periods and usage assumptions can change the result. No inflation, interest, financing, or repeated replacement cycles are included.
Saving a choice adds its upfront price to a wishlist form where you choose a target date and record savings. Resale and running-cost estimates are not counted as money available to buy it. Sign-in and email verification are required to save.
